Resonare de Inter Solaris

Installation — robotic drawings, magnetic system, metallized clothing. Neodymium magnets, laser-cut aluminum, Fresnel lens, paper 707×1000 mm. The drawings document rocks transformed by the Inter Solaris kinetic sculpture.

CONCEPT

The installation Resonare de Inter Solaris follows the previous work Inter Solaris. It was a kinetic sculpture capable of melting and transforming fragments of local rocks using sunlight in various outdoor environments. The Inter Solaris actions aimed to capture a unique moment that was inscribed into the rock through melting. The rock served not only as a medium but also as evidence of the place where the action took place, and the resulting artifact of the entire process.

The original work Inter Solaris now undergoes further transformation. Its parts are disassembled and arranged into new constellations. The invisible geometry of magnetic field lines, with which the sculpture works, serves here as a connecting element through which individual components communicate. The main artifact, which was originally the rock melted by sunlight, is here a series of drawings created by the robotic arm. This processual reproduction of rocks suggests their further progressive analysis and creates a relic of past actions of the kinetic sculpture Inter Solaris.
