CONCEPT

Magna Mutatio / Tajo-Setubal is a fluid portrait of the Tagus River estuary, where satellite water turbidity data are transformed into a hydrodynamic probe of the invisible flow between land and ocean. Here, the generative HydroWeave Engine algorithm functions as a data metabolism that constructs a fibrous “data fabric” from turbidity parameters—a techno-fossil of ephemeral energies that records the labor of other-than-human forces within the landscape. The video thus does not create a map of a place, but rather an ephemeral archive of fluid topology, where each frame is an indexical trace of one possible configuration of current, sediment, and light.
