Dimensions2024 × 558 × 1162 mm
Duration00:04:32
SoftwareDual-stage pipeline: 1) AI Generation — Custom-trained diffusion model (Python/PyTorch) generates video sequences of „transmutation“ based on dataset of 3D scans. 2) Real-time Analysis (TouchDesigner patch) — Time Machine TOP creates 1s delay and morphs it with current frame; Blob Track TOP detects areas with low change and uses them as mask.
HardwareDedicated PC with high-end GPU (NVIDIA RTX 40 series). Vertical 4K LCD display, aluminum frame.
Data sourceSelf-referential dataset: Photogrammetric 3D scans of rocks transformed by kinetic sculpture Inter Solaris.
InteractionContemplative, processual. Viewer is witness to autonomous process in which software in real-time analyzes and temporally manipulates AI-generated content.

CONCEPT

The work is a profound meditation on the nature of memory in the digital age. Memory here is not a stable archive, but a fluid, constantly rewritten process. The video materializes the idea that every recording is, by its very nature, a manipulation and a reinterpretation. It examines the memory of the medium on two levels: the geological memory inscribed within the original stones, and the digital memory recorded in data, which AI and TouchDesigner further deform and distort. It is a gaze into a machine that remembers, and at the same time a revelation that its memories are always a glitch, an echo, and a dream.
